Edit: my family worked in the tobacco industry, it put my father in an early grave and faith in the company convinced my mother to smoke through her pregnancies and now we all have brittle connective tissues, asthma, and other problems as a result of the birth defects nicotine and other chemicals in cigarettes cause, we were born addicted; addicts from birth.

What I can say from their experience at all levels in the industry but farming is that Menthols are far and away the most likely to cause cancer because the menthol dilates your bronchi creating more surface area for the hot smoke to leave tar and cause damage, menthols and lights both burn hotter because they are less densely packed this means they do far more damage to your lungs because you have hotter more rapidly flowing smoke particles in your lungs than if you smoke full flavor, never smoke light or menthol. No kidding, my bud's dad got diagnosed with emphysema said he wouldn't quit until it killed him, I told him this and he swapped to full flavor and his condition has not progressed at all in 12 years.
