The so-called "homeless" are bums, drug addicts and crazy people. Wherever they go they are going to produce trash, filth and squalor. This is so obvious, it shouldn't need to be said. The idea that they are suddenly going to turn into honest citizens if they are given a shack to live in is absurd.

If governments are going to create societies like this for people who have lost the awareness to be a tenant, you have to play daddy and have zero tolerance to teach people to be upstanding citizens (of course the government also needs to provide basic services like garbage pickup...).

"If you don't keep your plot clean of debris, you will be removed."

this is a very real thing in CA. The cost the state pays for a single unit of low income housing is 130,000 when a tiny home costs about 40,000 for a decent one. It's about using sad homeless people, to make bleeding heart liberals to approve more gov spending and contractors and case reps soak up the money.

This is nothing new to anybody familiar with government contracting. There are hordes of companies and non-profits whose sole reason for existence is to monitor governments for new programs and spin off divisions to get awarded contracts/grants under those programs. They pile on consultants and fees until the money runs out and move on. Any time a new tax or bond passes these people come out of the woodwork and descend like locusts, eating every penny in their path. It's a feeding frenzy more chaotic and cut-throat that a school of piranhas devouring their meals. And just as quick as they came, they're gone and the taxpayers are left holding the bag.

Watch for them coming to a public school or city government near you. They come as construction management firms to help local governments manage large public works projects, or charities to help ill-equipped governments deal with a specialized issue. No matter what they call themselves, it's always jackals there to devour taxpayer dollars.

This interviewer frustrates me so much. Yes the managers of these places need to be much more strict, but also

ok reporter dude, you wanna come here and be all judgmental? You got a better plan? any solutions at all? Lets kick them out, it will just be the same mess but on the street, or we can put them in prison and pay even more in police and guards. the news report is also lacking in overall stats. what percentage are not hoarding vs are? How many different tiny home management companies are there, are they achieving different results? How much more affordable is this housing method as opposed to the next best alternative?

The reporter's job is to ask questions and report, which is what he did. He asked about the dozens of bicycles and trash around the tiny homes camp.

The executive director of the Low Income Housing Institute is responsible for questions regarding a better plan / solution, and also is the one who needs to answer for problems with the current situation, not the reporter.

You can't make humans out of Niggers and you can't make citizens out of bums. It's a fact of life. Bums are detached from society. they chose to be no part of it. give them tiny houses and they still belong to the city, they are parked on city owned land. provided with city water, sewage and electricity. it's no different than the projects. Think about the last time you went through the projects and the quality of area. There may be a couple looking for a way up and out but most have resolved to reject society. dumb motherfuckers keep trying to make respectable citizens out of them.
