Tesla Asking Owners to Limit Charging During Texas Heatwave Isn’t a Good Sign

It is already madness to rely on extremely sophisticated tech (current petrol engines all need unique, specially made components) not to mention electric cars have all non replaceable parts or you can source them ONLY from the producer.

Electric add a reliance on the electric grid, so, once that is down are we supposed to die ?

Just wait , they will program the cars to only accept a charge when they allow it.

yes, clearly

the evil wish to have a bunch of mindless slaves, hoping that it can say "you, mindless slave, now you can be smart and tell me a smart thing to do"

is it going to happen ? my guess, not.

[–] 0 pt

It will happen after they kill gasoline and force everyone to EVs. The EVs will require smart charging, knowing how much you have driven and where you have driven. Everything will be IOT and monitored.

let's not forget the reason why 200 people died in Texas during the last Texas power grid failure. Don't forget that the power grid failure occurred strictly because the Biden regime blocked the power utilities multiple attempts to bring emergency/standby coal fired power plants online in the days leading up to the cold snap.

never forget that the grid didn't have to fail. that was Biden.

Bidens team was told that people would die if they continued to block the power plant spin up, but they didn't care. They willfully and knowingly took steps that they knew would immediately and directly kill hundreds of American citizens- all in the name of climate change. Biden should be in prison for murder on this alone.

biden or better ((the deep state))

they wouldn't have sacrificed lives for the virtue signaling of "global warming" if trump were still in the office. like the captain of a ship, Biden's ultimately responsible, and should get prosecuted in the same manner.

[–] 0 pt

agree that biden is in charge, from a technical point of view, so, jail or alaska for him

but

he is just demented and he surely is not deciding anything, he often declare kamala president....

why is he still there ? because kamala is worse

Soooo sick of this fucking Red Herring. The grid The Grid The Fucking grid and yet.....look at how much CONSTANT construction goes on day after day after day adding to the supposed poor overtaxed grid. You cant have it both ways. If it's so fucking fragile WHY keep stressing it?

[–] 1 pt

I'm so sick of muh environment, or muh consumption, or muh high rent, etc. Yet these fucks think that adding to the population is a good thing with all their migration?

[–] 1 pt

They're just anti-white. They don't give a shit about the planet.

[–] 0 pt

Oh absolutely. KEEP bringing the TURD WHURL in isn't it great?

Or you just get a gas powered generator and plug your EV into that? Less a car issue and more a retarded environmentalists not understanding/caring that moving to EV doesn't make energy demands suddenly vanish.

[–] 0 pt

a hybrid is exactly this...

it is better than a pure electric....

[–] 0 pt

I wouldn't say it's objectively better; you're stuck having to carry a specific generator around even if you get a better standalone unit

[–] 0 pt

Not really, hybrids and full electric still have to lug that battery around. I can put 10 pounds or 50 pounds of fuel in the tank. You can't do that with batteries.

the comment was to someone suggesting to have a generator in the car....

Buy solar, 50k system would last 35 years before it reaches ~82% of it's original output, panels are pretty good these days. If you're handy and know your way around construction, install it yourself, learn yourself, check out DIYmobilesolar or whatever on YouTube, micro controllers + Sun Power panels are the best, idk what the best inverters are.

There's a guy that bought $1,000 of used laptop batteries, he took the wrapping off each one, tested each one, put them in order, and created his own 10KWh powerwall.

I havnt payed $50,000 in electricity in my 45 years of life

[–] 0 pt

Well seeing as how the topic is about blackouts, price should be secondary if one is only worried about having electric. A 50k system would handle two Tesla's or whatever EV, and if you do it yourself, the cost would get cut to less than 25k.

There's one reason to visit TheDrive and that's to get to TheWarZone. Which sounds odd. lol

Several years ago it was really good, then they went full retard.

[–] 0 pt

Dude just don’t buy EV shit. Simple.

What this article is tryign to do imo is sell Texas and their power grid short. As if these guys can't actually supply power to the state, even if everyone is driving these stupid EV's. It's just soft propaganda to convince people that you shouldn't rely on the states power, but uncle sam's.

[–] 1 pt

Not you, but hypothetically

how dumb of a sheep one has to be to believe that if a small "state" cannot fix a problem a bigger "state" can

sheep, dumb sheep

that pretty much sums up communism in a nutshell lol
