Don't give the cuck broadcasting corporation any clicks, they're state-funded propaganda pushers. Here's the archived link instead: https://archive.ph/tqEwS

In the old days when LindedIn first began, it somehow was able to mine contact lists such that once someone signed up, their contacts also got an email 'hi your friend is on LinkedIn, join us'. One guy got pissed off that his enemies were invited via email to get LinkedIn (it mined his blocked contact list). I never forgot that and the numerous invites to join that I got spammed with after people I knew joined it. I never signed up. My work wanted everyone to join to take advantage of some free training on it, I refused. No FB, no twatter, no GAB/Getter/Truth/Parler, once had a disqus but quickly lost the password and forgot the user name so don't do that. I just have a poal account after voat died.

We have a right to be left alone.

I signed up when it was new, just to see what it was about. If I recall correctly, it asks you if it can email your contacts and see if they are part of LinkedIN.

it's unlikely many people would knowingly consent to have their network, and livelihoods, manipulated as they were for the study

I know cbc is quoting someone here, but their style is to only publish propaganda they agree with, and it's pretty hypocritical of them to shame linked-in for these manipulation tactics when they are often caught doing the same thing themselves.
