She defended the Scorpion unit even after the killing of Tyre Nichols. She was also fired in 2008 from Alanta Police department, after she intervened to stop investigations into child-sex allegations against the husband of an Atlanta Police Officer and demoted, before being picked up by Memphis Police Dept as the face of progress and reform for beiong a black woman.
