Like most "viral" bullshit. There are layers to this. It sounds like she is a absent mother most of the time and likes to go out a lot.
I can't call total bullshit because I don't know them or their story but it usually takes a LOT to get a court to agree to a father being the primary custody adult.
I know because a friend and former coworker had to fight his insane horrible ex for close to 4 years to get custody of his son. (She would leave him home alone at 6-7 years old for a weekend and $20 to order a pizza. The kid is on the spectrum and has no idea how to order pizza and would be to anxious/shy to do it even if he did).
He had to prove this by having a friends/family or himself drive the 3 hours to the city she lived in to get proof and had to prove it multiple times. Same with showing that she would ignore/skip doctor appointments that the kid needed on a regular basis.

Elizabeth Teckenbrock, 29, from Tampa, Florida, shared a clip on TikTok to show the difficulty of being a single parent and it has been viewed more than 45 million times.
