it's a micro version of the macro issue I'd be concerned with regarding electric cars - once most folks have them, just shut off the power grid for enough time to lock down the populace and anything is possible.

Why doesn't the damn car have a for when you're locked out and don't have your key handy, and the damn server is down? That's stupid.
