Lol, I’ve metal detected that wash for silver nuggets with a friend that found a 417lb silver nugget along with many other large pieces nearby. Just south of there is Nugget Wash. Globe AZ, got its name by the finding of a large globe shaped silver nugget. The area was discovered when miners heard of Apaches of the area were pouring bullets of silver.
I’m gonna have to send this Wiki page to him. When I suggested we check “nigger” wash he tried to correct to the Spanish version, “neg-ro” wash.
True to it’s name, the wash turned up nothing, but we have found more elsewhere in the area. It has since been all claimed up.
