I flew Spirit once because it was last minute and other flights would have been insanely expensive. I will drive rather than fly Spirit ever again.
There was a layover but the same plane was continuing on to my destination (Atlanta, so you can only imagine). I was the only person who chose to stay in the plane. I ended up chatting with a couple of stewardesses and they were great. Gave me free coffee and entertained me with stories and kept an eye on me on the last leg of the flight since I was surrounded by possible chimp outs. One lady I sat next to said something to me but I couldn't understand a word and I was just hoping smiling and nodding was the right answer to whatever ghetto stuff she spouted at me.
It was insane heading from Phoenix to Atlanta. I don't remember the flight back after getting on the plane in Atlanta so it must not have been as bad, though TSA in Atlanta stole my MP3 player probably not realizing it was ancient and not even worth 10$ on eBay. I was glad I had backed it up before I left so I didn't lose my playlists.
