BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WCTV) - A daycare worker was arrested earlier this week following a report of alleged child abuse at Little Blessings Child Care in Bainbridge, according to the City of Bainbridge Public Safety.

Yvette Thurston, 54, was taken into custody Monday and faces charges of first-degree aggravated battery and three counts of first-degree child abuse, police told WCTV in a phone call Friday afternoon. A bond was set for $44,000 for all four charges, according to Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Emmons.

Since then, jail records show that Thurston has bonded out of the Decatur County Jail.

Thurston was identified as an employee at the daycare, according to an incident report WCTV obtained Friday.

Little Blessings Child Care is affiliated with the Bainbridge Church of God, according to the daycare’s social media page. WCTV reached out to the church for a response, but has not heard back as of Friday afternoon.

As of Friday afternoon, specific details about the case or allegations have not been released, but investigators confirmed that officers were able to view surveillance video from the daycare that contributed to the investigation.

Since the incident allegedly happened, the child’s family has posted pictures of the young boy. WCTV obtained permission to share the images.

Bainbridge police say the child was treated at an area hospital.

If that were my kid, I would post her bail and TOS violation her and later her employer. There is zero chance the people that coonette worked for didn't know that shit was going on.
