A group of local people, including Madyson's family friends, staged a demonstration outside the courthouse calling for Gonzalez to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Even they realize how fucked up this is. That really says it all.

As they should. They should be calling for more harsh punishment than life behind bars. Thins like this cannot be rehabilitated. You should be removed from society forever and at the soonest possible time.
