I was on this site recently, ordering monthslong supplies of food. They had other items in their store which seemed like a good idea to pick up too: https://mypatriotsupply.com/

I thought the prices were fairly good. Any recommendations on other, similiar sites?

Regarding food, it certainly doesn't hurt to get boxes of military MRE's. Auguson Farms has the 5 Gallon pails of rice, ones of oats, and ones of potatoes. Then there is dehydrated hiking/camping packs like Mountain House.

CANS: Don't forget good ol' cans from regular markets, but regarding cans makes sure to get non-bpa lining and grown in the USA. Also Aguson Farms and others have those #10 cans that the mormons use for their food storage a lot. Lots of variety in those.

Don't forget currency and precious metals for economic preparedness. High strength alcohol is KING if the SHTF and is a great barter item, so are lighters/matches. Remember there is a finite amount of what you're able to store and it could be stolen, but learning how to live is the ultimate survival tool.

Hell, prep some worn out clothes with holes in them. Might save your life from thieves looking for those who are prepared.

Best bartering items wont be precious metals, but silver would likely be better than gold because of even a small amount of gold is so valuable it would be hard to barter. Precious metals will be little more than fiat currency during really bad times (but not bad and would return to having real applications again when stuff gets better).

Best bartering items would be hard alcohol (like you said), guns+ammo and certain medical supplies. Also a bunch of inexpensive but strong knives would work well. Bic lighters would be great. Oil lamps would likely become high value.

I'm going to put some effort into this sub to really provide resources for people looking to prepare. The most people prepared, the safer we all are.

I'm not sure how to prepare cat. Any recommendations on guides? I can't read Chinese.

When I lived in Italy, there was a law that the rabbit heads had to stay on the bodies. They did this because some shitheads would kill stray cats and sell the bodies as rabbits. So if in Italy where they eat a lot of rabbit, cat can be passed off as a counterfeit, logic would dictate that one could cook cat similar to rabbit.

You're only allowed to eat dogs under 35 pounds as they no longer qualify as dogs. Regular sized and larger dogs have a "mans best friend" pass and are to be treated with respect and dignity.
