Mother fucker. Option D just made me rage a little. I have worked with far too many dev's that have said shit like that.
"Yeah, that's fucking dandy you moron. The fails in EVERY SINGLE ENVIRONMENT THAT IS NOT YOUR PERSONAL LAPTOP".
I'm fully convinced that is exactly why Linux will never be widely used. Just look at protondb. Game works great, platinum rating....then some random dude used Ubuntu rolls up and says nothing works and his computer got set on fire after speaking in tongues.
Linux requiring you to not be a retard to use it is a feature not a bug. Even though it has gotten so easy to use that most retards can use it now.
My experiences with a recent Linux system says that even "professionals" are retards when it comes to Linux and assuming.
Blessing and curse. Also doesn't help how many blue hair liberals keep screeching about diversity in the dev teams for the kernel.
Linux will never be mainstream because every little thing turns into a fucking chore. God forbid someone include all the dependencies to make a piece of software run. It might take up another 5 Mb! The horror!
But snaps and flatpak fix everything! /s
Incidentally, Option D was how Docket was invented.
