Dialectical Behavioral Therapy sounds very similar to something called Cognitive Therapy for PTSD. Can anyone here comment on this that may have any experience with either of these ideas?
It sounds like basically rationalizing with yourself so you don't lose control of your emotions. Isn't this really just the idea of "eternal vigilance" that is associated with the story of Jesus in the New Testament? Curious of anybodies thoughts on this.
