The linked article makes a reasonable case for giving free money to homeless people. Yes, it sounds warm and fuzzy and compassionate. The study only looked at the good side, but this idea can't work at scale.
Free money attracts jews and other scammers. If this were to be implemented at scale, the homeless population would explode very quickly until funds dried up. If the US taxpayer treasury started funding it, the program would instantly become UBI and soon, everyone would be on it. Then, hyper inflation would ramp up making the money appear to be paltry. This would cascade to the entire population because, now, no one could afford to live within their means because the UBI would distort the economy more than it is already.
So, while the experiment seemed a success, it will not scale.
They already take our money for free, through taxes. Any money freely given to 99% of homeless will be used on addictions. If you give straight money to a hobo, you are destroying your neighborhood and hurting your neighbors.
Stop giving people shit for free. That is not UBI it's socialism and communism. It has never worked. It will never work. They are just rebranding the same things over and over to try to use it to destroy you and the country.
Correct. Communists keep trying to force bad (for us) programs and as you say, rebranding it so we don't recognize it. I call it putting lipstick on a pig.
Nothing in life is free and the government stealing my wages from MY WORK is THEFT. Especially when they are giving it to someone else and not using it for services that I use (roads, water systems, public parks, etc).
Isn't it that many homeless are addicts and/or have mental illness? Given those people money isn't going to fix anything.
The money is for laundering. Not for fixing anything.
God teaches us to give to the poor. And years ago, there were quite some cases of panhandlers receiving so much that they considered a full time career.
Nowadays the state steals from me, and there are many more poor. I've had enough of the state giving problems that they call solutions.
