And it was effective. Russians don't fuck around... They could have bent a rail. Maybe two. No they tore the whole bed up. Just so you know.. they have to dig a four foot wide trench or a place a four foot wide hill. Built on gravel because gravel packs down and becomes hard as concrete. Always level, always super hard. Then they place the railroad ties. Hard wood that is soaked in oil so it acts like a living tree. Super hard but never rots. Flexible and will not flake apart like dead wood. They nail steel rails to those never dying trees founded on rock. The russians tore everything in one swipe! It would take less manpower and years to make a new track beside that one. Either way, they can't do shit for years. War must be that serious. Wow. Good post OP!
