Christians are the chosen until the fullness of the gentiles is complete. Jesus will return and save a remnant of jews. Based on Zechariah about 1/3. There has always been a remnant. Jeremiah and the two baskets of figs is an example; one good and one rotten.

I don't know what Bible you're reading. Sure, not all of Israel is Israel. It's always been a remnant from Egypt going forward. But God keeps his promises and will save a remnant. I need to know he keeps his promises otherwise my salvation is in jeopardy.
