Even the husband knows to not speak because he's been down this long road of Karen complaining and badgering him in the waiting area for 6 hours until their next flight attempt. Then they got on and there's another Trump supporter and rinse, repeat, next.

They then walk to Portland for days since they get kicked off busses, cabs and people who pick them up as hitchhikers before the husband waits until she falls asleep, escapes and starts a new life without Karen.
