Not strange at all. Kids rebel. Just like the hippy kids rebeld there conservative parents in the 60's. Now the parents are liberals, schools ran by liberals. The kids are doing what kids do.
I hope the left keeps pushing because Gen Z will be goose stepping in Hugo Boss.
