GM might have been one of the worst corporations on earth. Look into how they bought up and shut down almost all the public transportation systems so people would be forced to buy cars.

Good documentary on that: "Taken for a Ride"

Pretty shitty thing to do

[–] 2 pts

But do you really want to have to ride public transportation packed in like sardines with a bunch of niggers, mudslimes, pajeets and other shitskins all the time? Personal vehicles are the buffer between us and stinky shitskins.

Right Profit Profit Profit Blame the end user

And if you were to hit them with a giant fine they’ll put that cost off onto users too

A shame, streetcars are cool

Especially when they are full of niggers and drooling winos

Statistically one could make a damned good case that leaded fuel increased intelligence. Look at the serious and ongoing decrease in intelligence since they stop selling leaded gas.....

Old gas was best gas and this new shit is exactly that, SHIT. It smells bad, goes bad fast, and has low octane.

Leaded fuel still used in aviation.

I know right, I have an old pickup that hates unleaded

Lead is the lubrication that allows the in contact fuel parts to survive. Now they use super toxic things to do the same thing.

What's that you say? Megacorporations don't care about laws since their lobbyists own all the politicians? Shocking.

No great revelation in this article

The chemist who was responsible for tetraethyl lead being added to gasoline, Thomas Midgley, was also the man who gave us the CFCs that were blamed for ozone depletion.

The guy was a monster.

[–] 0 pt

I agree, but the part I've never been able to determine was if he knowingly did these things or if he was just extremely unlucky in his work.

[–] 1 pt

Fun fact: the same guy that developed the lead additive for gas, also developed CFCs.

He ended up with a myriad of health problems and was strangled to death by his own contraption he had rigged to get himself out of bed.

I read an interesting article once that blamed leaded gas exhaust for the violence and low IQ of 'urban dwellers'. I say it's just niggers being niggers.

Isnt leaded fuel significantly better and more effective?

[–] 1 pt

Yes and dangerous Same pickle, new jar “ By 1926, the Public Health Service announced that they had “no good reason” to prohibit leaded gasoline, even though internal memos complained that their research was “half baked.”

[–] 0 pt

Yes,lead use is also better & easier on you engine due to its lubricating properties.
