Mostly they're working on common shit like fertility, and physical fitness, is my guess. Those are big money. They also want natural super soldiers and to increase their genius count for the PLA.
The chinese are pursuing the correct path in this regard.
They should be heavily invested in increasing the genetic fitness of all their people. Imagine for a moment what the chinese people will say if they can trade off having an extra kid, in exchange for one that will grow up immune to cancer, smoking, alcoholism, mental illness, will be perfectly fit, and score 115-130 on an IQ test?
There are genes for self control, for celebrity (both physical and social charisma), genes for memory, genes for emotional intelligence, for height, weight, and eye color.
What the chinese are working on is designer babies.
Having those genes is a really good start in life.
