We've known this for years. I used to comb the mountains around the rez with my grandfather hunting wahuhi (lion's mane) and wishi (hen of the woods) when I was a kid. I still comb the woods on my farm hunting mushrooms and I'm 69 years old. Lion's mane is hard to find but I have a few "sweet spots" I can depend on most years in the fall. You can also buy fresh lion's mane. Last time I checked it was running about $40 a pound. We usually just saute it with butter and garlic. The taste will vary somewhat but in my opinion it taste sort of like a cross between scallops and shrimp. You can also buy it in pill form as a supplement from most health food stores but I've never gone that route. I prefer the fresh approach.

I grew up in the woods. I love each season for it's own bounty. I used to scavenge ginseng, bloodroot, and goldenseal to sell. Nowadays I only scavenge the things I'll eat or use myself. I'm getting excited because it's almost morel season.

Yep. Morels should be sticking their heads up here in a little over a month.

"we have no evidence" generally means "it's not profitable to find evidence that this works so we don't look at it" Technically true. There is a lot of stuff like this where it is implied to not work because scientists actively avoid proving it

"Discovered" something that has been known for years.

That is always my favorite part. All our pharmaceuticals are just derivations of natural compound that have been used in those "old crazy" medicines for all of our history.

Why would you use that fake naturopath herbal remedy instead of zxybloxytoxim (which is extract from that herb with mind dulling bullshit added)

↑ that sums up most of pharma since penicillin. I'm at the point of considering Pharmacom to be the jeweist of jew indistries, worse then media only because it more insidious.

Years ago when I lived in a city there was an abandoned building next to my building. One of the neighbors was Brazilian and she was out in the backyard of the abandoned building picking the grass. I asked her what she was doing and she said getting food. I was like you're eating grass she goes no there's all sorts of things to eat here. She pointed out a couple of things. And it shows how stupid I was, I just thought it was a lawn.

No, that has never happened to me.

Is it really that good? Are you a long-term Mane user?

I would assume by the title they would remember...

I have a lot of powdered mushroom pills. They are great for viruses. My brother's wife had HPV, so my mom sent both my bro and her a bunch of mushroom pills. They took them religiously for two months. The doc tested her 3x after that and was super annoyed that she was HPV negative. Obviously, her multiple previous positive tests were in error...

I have heard about the memory effects, but I have PTSD, so it's not much use to test them on myself. I know my boyfriend went through a bottle of mushroom pills after he got out of the hospital (at my insistence) and he said his mind was clearer.
