Ehh or you know, build a pfsense router that cost a fraction of what any of those options, has more features, is open source (based off of FreeBSD), and has more throughput.

Most folks aren't going to bother with that if they're not geeks and are looking for something for their SOHO. Something COTS is what they're gonna go for.

Most people aren't going to drop $600+ for a firewall, most people are content with their router firewall as it stands.

If someone wants a firewall in a SOHO they are going be more than your average computer user.

PfSense sells routers that are still cheaper than these options and will provide for nearly anybody's needs.

Which is why I said if they're looking for one. That narrows down the criteria quite a bit. We're talking people who work from home or whatnot.
