Air conditioning isn't good for you! My grandpa swears that air conditioning gives you Lou Gehrigs disease! Also, he says that eating flies gives you polio. Take from that what you will, but consider yourself warned!
But seriously, it's important to climatize your body and air conditioning stunts that process. In my 35 years I have never had ac in my home and currently my job has no ac either. I'm healthier because of it.

I have AC only to keep the data center here cool. Have not needed it at all this year, it's 50F right now.

i came to this post thinking it would be funny but the Add filter stopped me from seeing the meme :C
im going home tomorrow and will be on my own computer so this problem will come to an end :D
anyways, thats very interesting! i've actually always wondered that! my stepdad never had the AC blowing very effectively in the house and as a kid i was hot and cold alot. but as much as i hated the physical stress, i loved it. it made me FEEL alive in a way! i grew up to pursue a career that pushed my physical body to the limits with heat and cold. it also sucked but also, i loved it! ive been in an AC house as a stay at home mom lately and ironically.... not being physically stressed is monotonous and stressful. very dull, not exciting. i cant wait to one day move to a farm and hopefully feel that stress again.
