It was kinda weird cause I had just said I wished I could see him before he died, and low and behold he came to tupelo. I lived outside memphis at the time and was like fuck yeah.

Some of those shows are quite good. Smaller venue and some of the artists respond to the more intimate size. Of course it helps if it's actually the band you remember instead of the bass player for a year that bough the rights to the name.

Side note: Shortly after Pete Best was put out of the Beatles, he released an album of his new band and called it "Best Of The Beatles". Of course the group tried to prevent that but Pete won the case due to the name.

He still kicked people out of the show. Saw rick derringer after his heyday at the new daisy in memphis. He rocked it.

Saw Clapton about 10 years ago and it was even a regular arena. I was so disappointed as he clearly was only touring for the bucks. He was obviously bored and uninspired, no audience involvement. You have to wonder sometimes, just how much more money do they need?
