That's one of my favorite rifles, I really want one.... Oh the life of a broke gun enthusiast.
Don't get discouraged. I bought one recently in amazing shape and paid 500 for it. I bought it knowing it was a Nazi 98K, but not too many other details. It just depends on who you know. I actually make most of my dealings private sale. I finally met a good reliable guy that has great connections and the first time meeting we went to school together. Those are your best connections for cheapest firearms.
You will find yours man.
Yea, I know i'll end up with one at some point. That's a want rifle for me, no matter how much I want it, it's still just a want rifle. Just finished my 6.5gren AR15 recent-ish. My next "big" buy is going to be a 3d printer and extras for homemade guns.
If you are going that route get into Unimags. You can buy gen II mags for like 20 bucks right now and they fit most calibers up to .458 SOCOM and it goes into a AR lower. So you don't have to get lots of different mags and they can be used reliably between your rifles no matter what upper you have on them. So if you print a lot of lowers or get different caliber uppers.
Just watched a video on forgotten weapons where he brought 3 for about 2 grand. (Which included sales tax, shipping and the auction house 15%.) They passed his quality control. With the cheapest being worth about $400 retail. While the most expensive was priced by him at $800. It was a carbine variant from 1917.
Nice... I like forgotten weapons. Also really like C&Rsenal
