TIL Don Rickles befriended mobster "Crazy" Joe Gallo following performance at Copacabana. Gallo, who he ribbed mercilessly despite being warned not to do so, accepted ribbings in good humor and invited him to Umberto's Clam House. Rickles declined. That night, a gunfight erupted killing Gallo.
