Yes. A lot of these people are on medication and I don't think we have fully assessed the negative psychological effects of some of these drugs. Also notice that it's all happening in cities. In cities most interactions and relationships are more short lived and a higher degree of social judgment is involved. This has lead to all kinds of unhealthy behavior for trying to impress peers in an attempt to have some social connection. Why is it taking off now when cities didn't have this problem before? Internet. People are more disconnected. The cities have just reached a threshold where large numbers of people having mental breakdowns. Third theory: This is an effect of democracy. The more powers that the state has the more valuable it is to be in control of it. Also the more rapidly society changes the more valuable it is to be in control of it because you can steer that change. The amount of money going into campaigns has been increasing. Each campaign is looking to produce the greatest psychological effect in the largest number of people with the lowest cost. Psychologists have been consulted in how to do this. Fear is likely the cheapest and most effective tool. $6.8 billion was spent. That means about $12 was spent on you to try to impact you psychologically. With such a small budget and such a strong effect sought there hardly is enough money to go about it responsibly. With social media now existing it is also a lot cheeper to impact people psychologically. We are going to go through another mass psyop in 2020. And so on every four years. This is why I'm for ending democracy and making a country in which I am the monarch and establish a near anarcho-capitalist system. (I'm the ruler but make myself as irrelevant as possible).
