My gasoline car requires planning too...do I need to fill up and do I want a coffee while I do so?
Of course, that takes all of 10 minutes.

ICE vehicles do require planning too. EVs require a lot more planning though. If you don't do planning and maintenance on your ICE vehicles, then you will have a bad time when vital fluids and consumable parts need replacing. While your car may work reliably most of the time and in most conditions, you can't ignore the fact that they do require a lot of attention to run properly.
It depends on how long you keep it, true enough. But it's a lot less.
