If adobe homes are so expensive and desirable, even though the adobe bricks get damp and fall to pieces, why not build them out of concrete bricks that are the same shape and color as adobe bricks? The concrete would not deteriorate, and you'd get the same general effect of two-foot thick mud walls. I don't see the nostalgia for an inferior building material, which is what adobe is.
