Adenovirus is the vector in, "viral vector," used by J&J/Janssen and AstraZeneca COVID19 vaxxen. The function of the virus is to get inside the cell nucleus to deliver its DNA payload. Once inside the DNA is transcribed into mRNA and is pushed out to ribosomes to make SARS-CoV2 S glycoprotein antigen.

Take this article for background information. OP is driving an important point: for how long do these VV DNA injections cause one to express the spike? I have not heard an answer yet except, "still going after 5 months."
