My name is Habib Anton Zarka, from Syria. We have been given the title of Zarka, because we all have blue eyes. The English translation of the word, zarka, is the color 'blue'. Since the first generation in 1543 we have had the trait of blue eyes. Our first ancestor died in Damascus in 23/6/1613 and he was buried in the family cemetery of the Roman Catholics. His tomb exists to this day and since that date, we place in the tomb each deceased person from our family. The first ancestor who was buried in this tomb had the name Habib Anton Zarka.
