well to be fair the flu is a covid virus and we had natural immunity to it. now we have the vaxx mutants killing everyone, so the viruses get more deadly and now we have a super deadly flu. he is an expert at statistic manipulation and politics, he might know medicine but probably only enough to pass the lowest bar test after all politicians only know what servers them, and hes a lucky one where he doesnt need to worry about bothersome things like elections
I promise he doesn't know enough to do any real medical science. He's been practicing politics for decades now. The way you stay current in a field is by practicing the profession. Just like all those programmers who become managers after a few years they no longer know anything about actually practicing the profession beyond some of the large scale and now dated concepts from when they were practicing. This is the same reason why you cant build a society based around an idea driven society while outsourcing the manufacturing and production parts of the society. After a while once no people are practicing the manufacturing and production side their knowledge becomes useless because they never actually practiced it before and the thing collapses on itself.
