So what's interesting about this is that the killer was allowed to plead first degree murder down to second degree murder. For such an atrocious action, this is really weird. What this tells us is there was a mitigating factor here, and I bet I know what it is: she was cheating. Nothing else I can think of could possibly be used to say his emotions ran away and he was out of control of himself.
This is tragic, to be sure. But I still find it funny that nobody ever asks "What did she do to piss him off so much"?
