Lots of shortages happened in 2020. Under Trump. It is now normalized.
I don't recall any shortages such as potatoes. The only shortages were things like sanitizer and limits on tp. Food was plentiful.

I remember almost everything being constantly empty with very few exceptions. Canned food, pasta, cereal, diapers, oils, frozen foods, meats, etc. The only consistent exception I remember was fresh fruits and vegetables.

If you're in north America I highly doubt this. I was in a major metro and there were no shortages of any food.
Same. There were no food shortages, there was (((fear porn))) that there would be, but there never actually was.
