There could be an issue with escalation of commitment though, and the sunk cost fallacy.
Let's say you could show the events of 2021 to Qsciples in 2016 (before they were actually disciples). They would react differently to seeing that information if they hadn't had the intervening four years to build up their investment in all of this. It would be akin to having someone exposed to you before you'd had years to build up faith and loyalty in them. By the time you're in, there's guilt, shame, dissonance and all kinds of mental safeguards protecting you against really coming to grips with the truth.
