I've told this and similar things to many people, and some literally shut down. They stop talking for a bit, and then change the subject.
Life gets much easier to understand when you realize that most people around actually lack the ability to think, they're just drones. Can perform simple tasks and memorize some information, but they don't have the ability to come to conclusions on their own.
This programmed opinion is pretty common:
>I support women's suffrage, but I'm not a feminist.
They really don't think about what they say (or think).
I support women's suffrage, but I'm not a feminist.
Lol, yup. Seen it too many times.
I support wealth redistribution and abolition of property, but I'm not marxist.
I support defunding the police and giving blacks billions in reparations, but I'm not a self-hating wigger.
I truly believe that they don't actually think. They hear talking points and repeat them, but they'd never actually sit down and just think about what they believe. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many inconsistencies in what they say.
The 'proverbial nail' has just been struck on the head.
