I'm a dry musician, DJ & sound guy/stagehand living in a city & state that revolves around alcohol - it's everywhere here - the drinking culture is getting worse because people aren't paying their rent and spending their money on booze and drugs because they're being protected by the eviction moratorium
I worked a parade 2 weeks ago with over 100,000 people and a good portion were drunk by 3pm.
I had to walk almost a mile to get away from all the bullshit to take a Lyft home - driving downtown during a parade is a fucking nightmare & parking was $30 and the Lyft surcharge to that downtown area was an extra $12.
Edit: The vaxx culture is very much like the drinking culture - hive minded and those who don't participate are ostracized.
