Lol, once had my phone on speaker in my shirt pocket talk’n to a friend when the preheat buzzer went off on my oven. Slightly bent over opening the door it slipped out of my pocket, hit the inside of the half opened door, shot its way to the very back of the oven and burst into flames. Just happened to have a 18” long crevicing tool for prospecting on the kitchen island that I could reach in and drag it out with, but of course the magpul case it was in was melting and stick’n it to the oven floor as the flames, heat and black smoke blocked my view to see what I was doin’. Luckily I managed to eventually snag it and get it out onto the floor. Grabbing a spatula and slapping out the flames I quickly put it in the fridge. Twenty minutes later I pulled it out and forlornly looked at the black screen. Held the power button on and sonofabitch it came to life! It had landed on its back in the oven, the case melted all around it, but protected the phone. Still have the case on it, had to cut the melted plastic from the camera lens opening and it was good to go. The buttons are goofy shaped but still work too.
