The Piedmont is a region located between the Appalachians and the Atlantic Coastal Plain known for rolling hills and red clay soil.

What’s the difference culturally?
Kind of the "mid-section" of the Carolinas. Wanna go the mountains? A couple hours. Wanna go to the beach? A couple hours. The perfect location. But don't tell people...we want to keep it for ourselves.
North Ca'lina is one of those perfect states where you have the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. Piedmont is basically the flat hot (or freezing) boring ass land in the middle. I lived in Appalachia. Lots bears, black snakes and rattlers, recluse and black widow spiders. Amazing birds like just amazing, and flowering trees. What a beautiful place.
