Has enough changed since the Brixton riots wonders the guardian. For those not aware the Brixton riots were sparked because a local nog got cut up by some other local nogs, and when the police tried to help the cut up nog a large gang of local nogs complained that he wasn’t helped quickly enough by the police. And not much has changed in 40 years in Brixton because Brixton is still full of nogs. A ten minute walk away in Clapham there is a quite nice area with very few issues with crime and riots unheard of. Clapham is an area with a very large immigrant population yet does not suffer the same social problems that have persisted for over four decades in neighbouring Brixton. Why might this be? Because the immigrants in Clapham are Aussies and Irish, and the immigrants in Brixton are West Indian.
