to me, the US is always going to have an enemy. hell, everyone, even the nicest most caring person in the world has someone that fucking hates them, so the fact the US has enemies isn't news, but the fact that our "leaders" seem to be unable or allergic to actually defending the fucking country is what is so perplexing and infuriating.

I'm just going to raise chickens and work on getting an enormous garden going then wait for the cities to boil over. Then none of it matters anymore. That has to happen before any meaningful change can occur.
