I haven't heard a fucking thing about this until my friend who lives a little further north called me and said "Man, my throat hurts, it's all foggy, what the hell is this?"

Seems pretty newsworthy to me, but all of the top headlines are the typical bullshit- who's playing the next villain in the next gay star wars movie, how some irrelevant celebrity died 2 years ago, faggot shit, etc.. Not a word about the gigantic cloud of smog descending on the northeast USA.

It's bad enough that local politicians are advising that people stay inside for a few days. Idk what to think about this shit- it's definitely smokey outside. Apparently, these fires have been going for a few weeks now.

Anyone know anybody in northeastern USA? Some of the photos I've seen... it looks like it's a photo of Los Angeles, but it's actually some tiny city in Massachutes or something. Pretty wild shit.

Northern country is filled with smoke. Someone was caught lighting fires in Canada today as well.

Some woman was caught for lighting over 30 fires in Canada. Last time I checked there were 90 burning. With how embers can travel she might be responsible for 70% or more.

It's been pretty thick in east tn for the past 2 days. My eyes and throat have been shit for days. I heard the local weather guy talk about for the first time today.

I'm in lower New England and the sky does suck shit today. I can taste the wildfire and it reminded me of the summer I spent in Montana back in 2021 where the sky was fucking orange and it was hot and miserable. At least it's not hot but the air sucks out here.

Way northern New Hampshire is pretty cool. And Central Maine I dig too. But you're right fuck the rest of New England. If I wasn't house sitting right now I'd be long gone.

This was already in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. Denver ranked number 4 for worst air quality in the world. Visibility was down to maybe 1/2 mile at times. It's just changed direction.
