I source my beef from small, family owned farms across the USA. I spend a GREAT deal of time searching and researching these farms. It is easy to be fooled, these days. In fact, I have been on a quest to restock my freezers and today spent, no exaggeration, 4 hours this morning looking at the last farms from where I purchased, and seeking out new farms. I sent out 3 emails for further clarification to 3 new farms I have not used in the past. I doubt I will get a reply. If not, I won't purchase from them. Here is what I found: The farms I've used in the past are sold out of almost all cuts of beef, and I was flabbergasted and appalled at the significant cost increase. I saw prices that ranged anywhere from $35-nearly $50 per pound for a ribeye. Ground chuck is $15/pound. Yes, I am looking at 100% grass fed and grass finished, and organic, when I can find it. And yes, I can afford that increase, but I am reluctant to do so. Not only has the beef increased significantly, but now shipping costs, too, are fucking unbelievable.
The tree of liberty is nearly dead from dehydration.
Wow. That's nuts to hear. I can still get half a fully grass fed cow from the community for 1000, but, they will only sell to neighbors. Have been raising them myself for a while now. Sounds like it's time to clear more pasture though LOL.

Let me know if you ever pursue that and sell to non neighbors. I’ll be first in line!
