>“Thousands” of complaints about the volume of TV commercials have flooded the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in recent years. Despite the FCC requiring TV stations, cable operators, and satellite providers to ensure that commercials don’t bring a sudden spike in decibels, complaints around loud commercials “took a troubling jump” in 2024, the government body said on Thursday.

That's odd, commercials are never loud on my TV.....oh wait, I know why. I don't own a TV.

Yeah, or cable either.

It's funny because TiVo was basically "adblock for cable TV" and they got sued to death basically. Fuck you ad companies. No matter what you do we will find a way to block you.

We don't want to be advertised to and there is nothing that you can do to change that.

"NewPipe is an Android application and does not have a native version for Windows 10. However, there are alternatives available for Windows, such as FreeTube, which offers similar functionality.

If you wish to use NewPipe on a Windows 10 PC, you can run it through an Android emulator like MEmu Play or LDPlayer. These emulators allow you to download and install NewPipe as if it were running on an Android device.

Alternatively, you can use Opera GX browser, which provides features similar to NewPipe, such as an adblocker, free VPN, and Picture-in-Picture mode.

MEmu Play: A powerful free Android emulator that supports running NewPipe on a PC with a large screen and better control via keyboard and mouse. LDPlayer: Another Android emulator that supports running NewPipe on Windows, offering features like multi-instance management and file sharing."
