I think this firearm loss is total BS.
The one picture they show is of an "AK-74", which is NOT a US military service weapon. One of the only numbers I found in the article "1,303 missing rifles and handguns from 2013-2019" just states they were missing, not stolen. Maybe they were stolen, but maybe they are just lost in some crate in a warehouse somewhere.
Just more propaganda that "guns are bad".
