Yup. this bill was never meant to be passed. It seems more like a protest bill in response to Texas' abortion bill. Best response is to just ignore it, most Democrats aren't stupid enough to vote for it.

100% agree. I can think of more examples than I can count about some horrible bill that was introduced that everyone freaked out about that never even remotely passed. This happens all the time unfortunately in our joke of a political system, but fortunately is almost never an actual threat.
