At the same time there are 939,392 cases among whites in California and 23,897 deaths among whites in California. That's a 2.5% case fatality rate.

How are they conducting this sleight of hand? They're not calculating the case fatality rate, they're calculating the population fatality rate while excluding the population infection rate from the equation. They're creatively hiding the fact that a higher proportion of latinos are catching covd than whites. Why? Well, if they advertised that latinos are way more likely to have covid people would start asking why? We can't have that because the answers are racist.
