Back in the '70's there was the swine flu vax that caused people's fingers and toes to necrose. Strep is a bitch bacterium and one should never ignore the potential devastating effects of a strep bacteremia.
I'm not saying they aren't related at all, as far as I am concerned the damage done from the vax is systemic, and affects every system in the body, especially the immune system. I'm just saying the link is pretty tentative and speculative, there is not mention in the article of whether or not he even is vaccinated. Best to forcus on other, more obvious cases than this one.
