Don't just stop talking to police. Stop posting shit to social media.

Nog posts pic to FB of him hitting a bong. Next day nog posts pic to FB of his gatz. Congratulations enjoy your Federal minimum sentence for a prohibited person in possession of firearms. Don't be dumb as a nog.

A follow-up he did: , clarifies that you don't want to invoke the 4th ("right to remain silent") because that can be used as evidence of guilt; instead invoke the 5th, right to lawyer. "I want to talk to my lawyer".

This is a classic that I used to put up on voat every few months, this is the 1st time that I have seen it on Poal.

Solid post.

Always a good reminder, especially with the recent video with those idiots talking to the fed about their memes.

This video saved me from serious charges with mandatory minimums. 7 months later, cops call me demanding a statement. Its very hard to stick to "i have nothing to state" when they are aggressive, threating to charge you. and they did just that- Charged and fingerprinted. hauled to court about 8 times. they dropped charges before we could plead because they never gave us full disclosure of their evidence against us.

and the shit they said to us as they tried to get us to talk - what the actual fuck. whatever they were trying to pin on us had 0 to do with us. they obviously wanted all of us to turn on one guy who did NOTHING wrong. it was very disgusting. You cant help but see police in a different light after.

No matter how hard it is in the moment, dont talk. if they have enough to arrest you, theyre going to do it. If it goes to court, your lawyer can make a statement on your behalf laying out all the facts. Making a statement to cops opens the door for them to take advantage of you, confuse you, and get you to incriminate yourself or others without you even realizing it.
